Bob Gill is a designer, an illustrator, a filmmaker a teacher and a copywriter. After freelancing in New York, he went to London on a whim in 1960 and started Fletcher/Forbes/Gill with Alan Fletcher and Colin Forbes. Today it’s called Pentagram. He was also one of the founders of D&AD. He returned to New York in 1975. He has had one-man shows all over the world and was elected into the NY Art Directors’ Hall of Fame. He is still freelancing and teaching in New York. His latest book, published in 2012, consists of the most interesting work in his previous eighteen books.
