Christmas is nearly here! So we’re going to continue the festive spirit by releasing Day 7 in a series of videos from OFFSET2010.
More media merriment today, compliments of OFFSET. On the Main stage today illustrator Mr. Alan Clarke gives an inspiring presentation on his work to date. Alan Clarke gives an insight to his working process. He operates with a very distinct style, reflecting 1800′s figures and narratives involving dark and mysterious characters and theatrics. His process of illustration is very much an iterative one involving traditional, hand drawn / painted art work, scanning, digital manipulating, then printing and working traditionally on the work again.
Meanwhile, in The Second Room, we get a crash-course on how to get your children’s book idea out of your imagination into the shops. Moderated by Mags Walsh (CBI) and with contributions from award winning children’s book illustrators/authors Niamh Sharkey and Chris Haughton (both published by Walker Books) this panel will be full of practical and creative tips.
Both of these videos and an almost complete archive of OFFSET2009 are now hosted on our new VIDEO PAGE.
Remember a ticket for OFFSET2012 is the perfect Christmas present and one that will keep you warm through the winter! For details on ticket prices and group deals and deposit plan visit our TICKET PAGE.
