Rachel Clancy is from Limerick, Ireland. She founded Tea Creature Studios with her partner Aida Sancho Lopez in 2019, and together they are making games and playable experiences that tackle themes of mental health, gender identity, and sexuality.
She studied Visual Communication at Limerick School of Art and Design, and since graduating in 2014 has worked as a graphic design and art director at creative agencies in Dublin, Boston, and London. She is currently at home in London, working as a creative for the ad agency Widen + Kennedy.
In 2018 she began a masters in Independent Games & Playable Experience Design at Goldsmiths College in London, and in 2019 was awarded the Sky Women In Tech Scholarship to develop Tea Creature’s first major project. A Hero’s Guide To Gardening is an interactive narrative mobile game for kids 10 – 12 that explores emotional literacy and opens a conversation on positive mental health.
