OFFSET is delighted to announce a new collaboration with innovation giants Accenture, with a dedicated stage over the three days packed full of talks, panels and discussions. Entitled Innovation by Design, each day is jam pack with amazing keynotes, stimulating panel discussions and industry insight.
We decided the best thing to do is to give you the low down for each day so here it goes! Here is the story for day two.
Once you’ve finished a nice breakfast and a chat with some industry cohorts at the Accenture Brekkie on Saturday morning in celebration of Accenture’s partnership with OFFSET we will start the day at 12pm sharp with Technology First :The Power of Data + Design, with Tim Brooke. Modern day society is leaving a trail of data as a result of our generation’s digitally driven culture, the head of Creative Technology at Fjord – Tim Brooke will discuss the importance of design and it’s effect on the power of data. This talk will provide a creative stimulus merging technology and design practice.
At 1pm Accenture will present New Crossroads : Design vs. New Skills. Now more than ever, designers are expected to think and work outside the box to create novel methods of design innovation. On behalf of Fjord, Director of design Fran Merino and business design lead Fabio Mastroianni, will lead this exciting debate to influence and furthermore equip attendees with a broader range of tools to enhance work prospects beyond a designers expected limitations.
After a quick lunch we welcome Christopher Boenke and Scott Robinson to the Accenture stage, the guys will provide a follow on from the last presentation with a talk to inspire businesses to meet the escalating changes in creative culture today with Living organisations : Changing Culture at 3pm.
At 4pm Fjord’s service and interaction designer Yonatan Kelib will join set-designer/manager extraordinaire Lian Bell and founder of UrAbility James Northridge for Beyond Diversity : Strategies that Work. The panel will discuss key techniques employed by businesses to stay ahead of industry expectations. This talk is sure to present an interesting and insightful debate into successful habits of successful businesses.
There seems to be something popping-up each week in our little city, urban interventions and temporary installations are a much needed and exciting addition to vacant spaces. Superintendent of city parks Les Moore will chat with architect and head of the IDI Marc O’Riain, fellow architect Seán Harrington and design writer Aideen McCole for Designing for Urban Spaces for the Accenture stage’s last talk of the day at 5pm.
