Among the creatives that joined OFFSET to invade shop windows around town with design-inspired installations, Sophie De Vere stands out as a multimedia artist.

After studying design and photography in college, Sophie became a multidisciplinary artist producing collage, design and mixed media works, which represent nostalgia as a positive gift to our future self.

One of her designs recently became the branding for the new Whiplash Brewing company’s “Scaldy porter”. By looking at Sophie’s prints it is imperceptible that her work is completely handmade; her design plays with imagination and the natural surge of creativity that children possess.

Sophie sources her material through the use of her analog camera and everything she sees or experiences once she steps out of her front door, hunting for vintage books and magazines where ever she can find them. Her collages stand on the thin line between real and surreal always challenging the viewer’s perception.
